Your savingram No.810 dated 25th August, 1949. Entry points into gazetted Police Officers scale of officers promoted from non-gazetted ranks.
In terms of the approval conveyed by your savingram under reference, it is proposed to revise the salaries of Messrs. R.V.F. Turner, W. Segrue and T.E. Clunie, who are the only Police Officers affected.

Mr. Turner, who was appointed to this Colony on 6th June, 1948, has stated that he was first appointed to Palestine on 1st. July, 1936, and that he was promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Police in that country on 1st January, 1941. I have no information to substantiate these statements and I should be grateful if you would confirm that these dates are correct.
